DJ Dalai's DC Party Rock!
Turntable.fm’s been one of my favorite online music sites to come around in the last few years. It’s been exciting watching it pick up steam over the summer, even in the midst of other big music announcements such as cloud offerings from Amazon, Google, and Apple - and the big U.S. launch of Spotify. Essentially, Turntable.fm is like social ‘Pandora’ - users take turns picking & playing songs with each other in a virtual party room.

It’s highly addicting at first, but with a little bit of moderation and self-control you can work it into your routine and make your daily music experience a more fun and interactive one. In the future I can see it being a hub for new artists and DJs - professional or not - debuting and sharing new music for instant public feedback.
The Wall Street Journal has a great write up about it this week here, and check out the room I created this week, DJ Dalai’s DC Party Rock! - look out for me there and elsewhere by becoming a “fan”of my username Dalai Lamas.
