After investing in Eric Hamm’s Frugal Theme for Wordpress (via Zen Habits) and toying with the design a little bit, my next goal has been to come up with a focus for this blog but rather than spend more time tweaking and thinking and rethinking, I’m just gonna roll with what’s interesting, what I like to write about, and what I think my friends want to read, for now. And today, I’m rolling with this delicious WALL-E Cake made by Sugar Crush Miami to celebrate my Pixar-inspired homepage logo.

It’s two weeks into my summer stay in New York City and I’ve dedicated a little more time to setting up a clean minimalist blog design today. The default picture I have set up of Wall-E I think definitely sums up my attitude for post-grad life right now, and has been my desktop background for months… always looking to the stars.
“Vision is not enough; it must be combined with venture. It is not enough to stare up to the step; we must step up the stairs.” – Vaclav Havel, former President of the Czech Republic.
I can continue to read countless Wordpress tutorials and tons of information flowing in from my feed reader on how to launch a perfect blog, but I’ve realized if I keep doing that, I’ll never actually start. I’ll be improving it as I go along, but in the meantime, my blogging adventure for the summer and beyond is a go!
